Hello, I’m Georgie, the Founder of Avant Consultancy.

I’ve spent over two decades supporting people and organisations through the often messy middle of meaningful work. I’ve led schools, training organisations, coached safeguarding and wellbeing leaders, supported businesses, and worked alongside purpose-led teams navigating growth, change, and complexity.

Avant was born from a belief that people-first work needs people-first support. That the leaders, founders and changemakers who give so much to others deserve a safe, steady place to think things through. A trusted partner who listens well, asks the right questions, and walks beside them as they take their next bold steps.

Personally, I know what it is to carry both hope and heartbreak. That lived experience keeps me grounded and fuels my belief that strategy, coaching, and supervision can be deeply human. This work isn’t about surface fixes ….. it’s about clarity, calm, and courageous action that aligns with who you are.

When I’m not working with brilliant people and organisations, you’ll often find me walking through the Hertfordshire countryside with my husband and our chocolate lab Rosey, coffee in hand, reflecting on the good we’re putting into the world.

The song I am listening to

Having recently come back from a trip to Nashville and the Country Music Awards (an incredible experience), I love this song because sometimes, you need a gentle reminder that the storm has passed, and the light is still there, even if you can’t see it yet.

It’s a song that speaks about being hopeful in heavier moments, something I come back to often in my work and life. For me, it’s an anthem for the people who carry a lot, feel deeply, and still keep showing up with heart.

The Place I feel most grounded

Quiet moments at home in nature

For me, it’s the quiet moments that bring me home to myself. A cup of tea in the garden, Rosey curled up nearby, the breeze moving gently through the trees. That’s where I feel most grounded, not in busy schedules or big achievements, but in the stillness of something real and rooted.

It’s a reminder that growth doesn’t always have to be loud. Sometimes, the most powerful shifts begin in the quiet.
